Adult learning in the community
Our unique courses provide pre-Level 1 animal care education and employability skills. Students receive personalised career coaching, and complete a placement with Noah’s ART. Learners are then encouraged and supported to progress to further learning, volunteering or work.

The P.A.W.W.S. Course

We are excited to announce that we have been successful in securing funding to deliver a new set of courses for learners aged 14-65.
Funded from 2023 -2025, The P.A.W.W.S. Course provides three levels of hands-on animal care, mental health awareness and employability training.
LEVEL 1
6-week introductory course
Small groups of 5 learners
Practical, creative activities focused on the 5 Welfare Needs
LEVEL 2
12-weeks
Groups of 10 learners
Integrated work placement
Mental Health Awareness certificate
More in-depth animal welfare learning
LEVEL 3
12-weeks
Groups of 10 learners
Integrated work placement
Mental Health First Aid certificate
Focused on careers in animal-assisted therapy and mental health

Our previous cohorts were fully funded by the European Social Fund, and open to eligible adults and young people:
2021-22 - Step Ahead: 16-week course + placement for 16-25 year olds not in education, employment or training (NEET)
2020-21 - Team Pet Power: 12-week course for adults with long-term physical or mental health difficulties
